The following items are recommended by the manufacturer per the listed schedule.

(PLEASE DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE)

Daily

– Clean both the inside and outside surface of the door. Use a clean damp cloth with a mild soap solution, wipe all surfaces and make sure that it is dry. Do not use any harsh cleaning liquids such as ammonia-based products. The interior and exterior of the door are either Acrylume, or Stainless Steel, any difficult stains should be cleaned with a non-abrasive metal polish.

– The floor panels should be cleaned using a warm soapy solution or an approved NSF cleaning solution. Do not allow puddles to build up on the floor. Do not use any harsh chemicals to clean the floor.

Weekly

– Inspect thermocouple placement.

Monthly

– Clean gaskets and door sweep. Use a warm water solution of one part baking soda. Dry all gaskets after cleaning

– Inspect the inside release mechanism to ensure proper operation

– Inspect light fixtures and observe for any moisture intrusion

– Inspect interior walls for missing cam lock plug holes. If missing, replace immediately to prevent moisture from entering.

– Make sure that there are no obstructions around the unit

Bi-Annually (Employees)

– Inspect door gaskets and sweeps (Replacement may be necessary in three years).

Bi- Annually/Annually (Preventative Maintenance – Licensed Refrigeration Technician)

– Check the door sweep for proper contact against the threshold

– Check the gaskets between the panels to make sure that they are not hard or cracked. This will again ensure proper sealing.

– At least once a year clean the evaporator and condensing unit, make sure that all debris is removed from the coils and fins. If they are placed outside, inspect and clean more often.

– Check the wiring and electrical components to make sure that all the wiring connections are tight and not corroded. Observe kinks are peeled off insulation. This will ensure proper running current and prevent electrical shorts.

– Check that all ground connections are tight and secure.

– Check the insulation of the suction lines between the evaporator and condensing unit to

– Make sure that they are not decayed or missing.

– Check drain pans to make sure that they are clear of debris or ice buildup.

– Check the operation of all fans to make sure that they run free and quiet.

– Check fan blades for wear and cleanliness. Dirty fan blades can add drag to the system.

– Lubricate any motors where applicable

– Check the operation of the defrost control system and fan cycles.

Check the refrigeration manufacturer’s install and maintenance manual for a more detailed maintenance plan.

Annually

– Inspect door hinges

– Inspect fastening hardware to make sure that they are tight and secure.
