Who We Are
A family grown business through and through! Uniserv was founded in 1972 by Joseph Suchecki in the small town of Avon, NJ. In 1997, Joe retired and his son Glen took ownership of the company after spending years in the restaurant equipment industry, specifically with Blodgett Ovens. In 2004, Glen founded Five Kids Group, Inc, in order to procure products from overseas for the many brand accounts that Uniserv was working with. In 2012, Glen’s three sons joined the company, and have continued to help grow the company that started three generations ago.
In 2018, one of Uniserv’s longtime customers, Jersey Mike’s Subs, requested that Five Kids Group provide furniture, aesthetics, and decor to remodel all 2000+ of their locations. After completing the remodels, Jersey Mike’s requested Five Kids Group become their preferred equipment supplier as well. At that point, Five Kids Group officially rebranded as FKG Equipment and entered the industry as an equipment dealer. Since then, we have rapidly grown, signed on with additional growing brands, expanded warehouse space, bought on many talented individuals from across the industry, and continue to push the envelope on what a restaurant equipment dealer “should” do.
